Continuum
Audio Samplesby JMG Sound
There are hundreds of delay plugins out there, so why try another? Because most delays simply repeat the past, while Continuum feels it. It captures the raw, soulful grit of three legendary hardware units. But Continuum goes further. It pairs that vintage heart with a highly sophisticated, modern dual-engine brain. Continuum is not just an echo unit. It’s an interactive canvas that seamlessly takes you from a single, sharp delay repeat to a lush, cascading reverb wash. It is designed for those who don't just want their echoes to fill the space but to carry emotion, movement, and life.
Dual Delay Engines for Ultimate Freedom
Why settle for a single flavour? Continuum features two identical, independent delay units. Each is capable of switching into three distinct, hardware-modelled characters. Instead of sterile digital timing, these engines capture the real physical imperfections and soulful grit of historic hardware. That allows you to run completely different delay configurations simultaneously.
Three Legendary Vintage Characters
Switching between models is instant, letting you audition different analogue vibes on the fly to see what perfectly hugs your mix. The MOJO parameter doesn't just increase an effect. It actively exaggerates the internal, physical characteristics unique to each modelled circuit.Tape
Pushing Mojo drives the virtual TAPE into warm analogue distortion, adding realistic wow & flutter, and tape noise.
BBD
Mojo simulates dropping the bucket-brigade clock rate. The repeats turn dark, wonderfully noisy, and beautifully degraded.
Digital
DIGITAL steps down the sample rate and bit depth into crunchy bit-crushed territory, using vintage imaging filters.
The FEED Section: Cross-Feed into Reverb
At the heart of Continuum is the central CROSS FEED network. Activating this routes the output of Delay 1 into the input of Delay 2, and vice versa, allowing them to interact and build off one another. By utilising the DIFFUSE control, you insert specialised all-pass filters into the feedback loop. This smears the hard edges of your delay taps, instantly transforming staccato echoes into a rich, blooming reverb-like space. Add some MOD to dynamically swirl the tail, and use DAMP to shape the high and low frequencies as the reverb wash decays slowly.Advanced Stereo Panning
Continuum reimagines how delay moves through the stereo field with its sophisticated Pan section. Instead of a simple left-to-right balance, the Pan control can engage twelve unique spatial modes. Position your repeats traditionally, balance them between mid and side channels, introduce a tiny offset between left and right channels for a massive psychoacoustic Haas effect, or choose from multiple ping-pong styles for dynamic channel alternation. For movement, the plugin offers advanced behaviours like Orbit, which spins repeats in a 3D circle around the listener. There are also dynamic modes like Converge, Diverge, Fade In, and Fade Out, which physically shrink, expand, or transition the stereo width of each successive echo over time.Rhythmic Feel and Groove
Break away from static, robotic grids. The Feel section injects human groove and rhythmic complexity directly into your echoes. Use the Shuffle setting to apply classic, organic swing. You can also alternate the volume of your repeats with Odd and Even modes to accent specific beats. Dedicated Groove settings introduce intricate, syncopated volume variations. Finally, Early and Late modes shift your repeats slightly ahead of or behind the grid. This gives your tracks either an urgent, driving energy or a relaxed, lazy pocket.Organic Time Modulation
Add organic movement to your delay times effortlessly. The Mod section controls the depth of both pitch and time modulation. Choose from three distinct LFO styles. Each is available at slow, medium, and fast speeds to match your track perfectly. Sine mode delivers a classic, smooth vibrato sweep. Drift mode introduces realistic analogue variances that mimic the organic instability of real hardware. For unpredictable, shifting textures, Rand mode uses smooth, true random modulation. It continuously drifts the pitch, keeping your delay tails alive, evolving, and beautifully unstable.Versatile, Multi-Position Filters
Each delay unit features dedicated High-Pass (HP) and Low-Pass (LP) filters that can be routed to three distinct positions. Set them to PRE to shape the incoming signal before it hits the delay engine, keeping the feedback loop full-bodied. Route them to FEED to place them inside the feedback loop, causing each subsequent repeat to decay into a progressively darker or thinner tone. Or, select POST to filter the final output, cleanly sweeping away any unwanted low rumble or high-end grit generated by the Mojo engine.Instant Inspiration with Smart Randomization
Writer’s block happens to the best of us, but Continuum is ready when you lose your creative spark. Hitting the dedicated RAND button instantly generates a completely fresh, intelligently balanced combination of delay parameters, spatial modes, and modulation depths. It’s not just noise—it’s a quick-fire idea generator that serves up inspiring, unexpected sonic starting points at the click of a single button.Advanced Input & Output Controls
Continuum’s input and output controls are built for creative performance. The input knob features a clean centre. Turn it left to "starve" the delay—blocking new audio while letting active feedback repeats ring out beautifully—or turn it right to drive your signal into a preamp for rich, analogue-style saturation. Use the output control to cleanly dial in your wet volume without disrupting the feedback loop's gain structure. Finally, maintain perfect control with automatic ducking to keep delays out of the way of dry transients and a link function for simple, one-knob dry/wet balancing.Hassle-free software protection
