Bio
Iotosh is known to be part of an exciting era of Jamaican music, with a new sound that might be the biggest shift in Jamaican music since Reggae to Dancehall. He's produced & written songs for artists such as Koffee, Protoje, Jorja Smith, Doechii, Lila Iké, Jesse Royal, Vybz Kartel, Jah9, and many others.
Born in 1998, in Kingston, Jamaica, Iotosh Poyser was always surrounded by music. He was exposed to different styles of music from early on, being the son of artiste-songwriter Ragnam Poyser (of Xterminator fame) & music journalist Michele Geister. Genres such as Reggae, Dancehall, Hip-hop, Funk, Soul and Rock were played in the household -- all of which can be identified in his sound, but it is most definitely rooted in the Jamaican sounds of Reggae & Dancehall. He began creating musical ideas on a Casio keyboard that his mom bought for him when he was just 9 years old. Inspired by the likes of Damian Marley and Eminem, he also began to write song lyrics. His relationship with music and sound grew exponentially throughout his teenage years, and at 17 years old, he left high school to pursue a career in music. He worked hard on his craft, mostly producing tracks for his artiste Kyraxx. The pair met while in high school, and together, they formed the SOUND TING label to release their music independently.
In 2019, Complex UK touted Iotosh as one of the “Top 10 Jamaican Artists to Watch”. Shortly after, Iotosh experienced his first mainstream breakthrough on Jah9’s 2020 album “Note To Self”, which includes the title track “Note To Self (Okay) ft. Chronixx” & “Get to Me (Highly)”. In 2021, he earned his first Grammy Nomination for his work on Jesse Royal’s “Royal” album, producing the track “Rich Forever", which features the legendary Vybz Kartel. His second and third nominations came in 2022 for his productions on Koffee’s “Gifted” & Protoje’s "Third Time’s The Charm”, with half of the latter’s 10-track album being produced by Iotosh.

He is also recognized by Belgian-based software company Image-Line as a Power User for FL Studio, one of the most popular music production programs in the world. He’s only the second Jamaican producer to have achieved this so far."
