Bio

Matt Sim is a Grammy-nominated and award-winning mixer (Stereo/Dolby Atmos), mastering engineer & producer. After he graduated from Berklee College of Music, he moved to New York City and spent the next decade working as a staff mixer at the legendary Germano Studios/The Hit Factory NYC. He is currently signed to Warner Music Asia as their in house Dolby Atmos Music Mixer as well as a pre-approved Dolby Atmos Mixer for Universal Music and Sony Music. He travels extensively but is based in Hong Kong and works from his home studio.

During his time at Germano Studios NYC, he had worked with an impressive list of artists including Post Malone, Big Sean, Idina Menzel, Desiigner, Billy Porter, Pusha T, Bette Midler, John Legend, Ryuchi Sakamoto, Thirdstory, Bon Jovi, John Mayer, Nicki Minaj, Ty Dolla $ign, Bettye Labette, Pentatonix, Joan Jett, Travis Scott, J Balvin, Gucci Mane, John Splithoff, Murda Beatz, Jake Paul, Steve Epstein, Zayn, The Rolling Stones, Keith Richards, Frank Ocean, Mark Ronson, Volbeat, Lil Uzi Vert, J Cole, IAM, Dream Theater, A$AP Ferg, Sheryl Crow, Jennifer Lopez, Jamie Foxx, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Theo Croker, DJ Mustard and many more.

2016 German Echo Award (German Grammy) nomination with Theo Croker’s “Escape Velocity” for the Best instrumental jazz category. 

In 2017, he co-designed APS/Germano Acoustic AEON II studio monitor. He was also featured on Sennheiser Pro Talk series in 2020 and was endorsed by Avid, Antelope Audio, Blacklion Audio, APS studio monitors, Aria Mastering, Nugen Audio & Sample Magic. In 2020, he was also approved as a certified Apple Digital Mastering studio.
