FrontDAW 3 just released

New options, intro discount (74% off)

March 25, 2024 | jt

We have just released a new generation of FrontDAW, our favoured lightweight saturating plugin.

As the name suggests, FrontDAW is intended to be used as the very first plugin on every track (if desired – FD is really CPU-friendly). The plugin adds gain and subtle saturation to them. Thanks to VARM (Variable Analogue Random Modeling – also used previously on Royal Compressor), each track would sound slightly different even with identical settings.

But using identical settings may not be the case for everybody, because the plugin offers three types of saturation circuits: BR represents classic fat British consoles, US stands for legendary punchy American style input. Switching to GE will give you velvet-sounding colourful vintage German tube console.

All you have to do is to set the gain, choose saturation mode and set the saturation amount with the Mojo knob.

New in version 3

In FrontDAW version 3, we added two more saturation types: magnetic tape (MG) and clipper (CL). Also, the workflow has been improved. You have access to undo/redo and comparison functions, an easy way to control oversampling, and input/output meters.

Backward compatibility?

We provide free-for-life updates so existing users may download and update right away. We also make sure your projects created with previous versions of FrontDAW will stay unharmed. You can open them and start working on them again, just with more options.

Re-introduction discount (or FREE)

We are celebrating the new release of FrontDAW with a re-introduction sale. If you don’t have a license yet, you may get it with a 74% discount (€49→€15)—just until the 15th of April.

FrontDAW is compatible with the majority of VST/AAX/AU hosts on Windows and Mac, and you can test it using the 15-day fully working trial version. After the trial expires, you may continue using FrontDAW as a free (slightly limited) plugin. Your projects made with the full version will stay unharmed.
